Their joint and individual mix tapes took off in the Philadelphia club scene, and Diplo‘s solo album, Never Scared, earned the distinction of being named one of the greatest albums of 2003.

Diplo didn’t waste any time moving on with his next endeavor, a studio called The Mausoleum, which was eventually utilized by Shakira, Plastic Little, and Scream to record their music and videos after settling down and achieving financial security with his music.

While performing as a DJ in 2004 for one of his remix songs, Diplo gained M.I.A.‘s respect, and she instantly called him in for a meeting as she walked by while he unintentionally played one of her songs. The end consequence of their collaboration was the mixtape Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1, which gained so much undeserved acclaim that the New York Times named it one of the year’s top albums.

Diplo kept working with M.I.A, and it was through her that he met DJ Switch. The two of them collaborated on the song Paper Planes, which peaked at number five on the Billboard 200.

Due to all of this success, Diplo swiftly ascended the ranks, began working as a producer, and collaborated with several well-known artists, including Shakira, Kid Cudi, Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, as well as many other rock bands and music ensembles. He began work on his upcoming endeavor, Mad Decent.

Since its establishment in 2005, Mad Decent has worked with several fresh musicians, including Gucci Mane, Rusko, and Jamie Fanatic

The group worked with numerous musicians and created top-notch music, which helped them advance in their careers and become regarded as the best music group in the nation. Its lead single, Lean On, amassed more than 800 streams on Spotify and 2 billion views on YouTube, making it one of the most watched music videos in history. Other songs from the album performed incredibly well as well.
