A view of the balcony under the dome inside the original building at Faneuil Hall Marketplace (also known as the Quincy Market building). The dome is a seating area for the many food vendors in the central promenade of the old market. Christmas decorations adorn the edge of the balcony. Quincy Market was renovated in the early 1970s, and re-opened to the public in 1975. During Christmas of 1975, the building was packed with local people in the beautiful new attraction. A giant Christmas tree was placed under the dome, with many entertainment acts performed including professional belly dancers. Quincy Market represents the essence of Boston, and is still a huge tourist attraction.
