NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash has signed an exclusive representation deal with Universal Attractions Agency.

One of the most recognized pioneers of the hip-hop and turntablist movements, Grand Master Flash is credited as the first artist to turn the turntable into a musical instrument with rinses, backspin, punch phrasing, and scratching techniques.

He would go on to form the Furious Five and release the seminal album “The Message,” with its hit single of the same name in 1982. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, and presented with the prestigious Polar Music Prize in 2019.

UAA’s Jon Moskowitz will act as the responsible agent for Grandmaster Flash.

“As a native New Yorker, working with such a hip-hop legend is an honor and a privilege. Grandmaster Flash’s legacy and impact on the genre speak for themselves. I look forward to what the future holds.”
