He developed an early musical interest and began playing the guitar at eight.

Career
When Martin Garrix was 14, he started his career as an EDM star by working as a DJ at his high school dance.
After meeting Tiesto and having him as a mentor, he released his debut tracks, ‘BFAM‘ (with Julian Jordan) and ‘Just Some Loops‘ (with TV Noise).
He released his first tune, ‘Error 404‘ (with Jay Hardway), on ‘Spinnin’ Records‘ in 2012. The following year, Tiesto released ‘Torrent‘ on his label, ‘Musical Freedom‘ (with Sidney Samson).
His first major hit, ‘Animals,’ was released as a digital download on June 16, 2013. It was also his first solo work. The song topped several European charts. It also helped Garrix become the youngest person with a song that rose to the No.1 spot on the electronic music retailer ‘Beatport‘.

At the beginning of 2014, he headlined the ‘”Ultra Music Festival“‘ for the first time. He deviated from his typical large room style when he dropped his debut progressive house tune, ‘”Forbidden Voices,” on February 6, 2015. In the same month, he and Usher co-wrote the song ‘”Don’t Look Down.” He and Ed Sheeran performed the song ‘”Rewind Repeat It” at the ‘Ultra Music Festival‘ in Miami in 2015.
He left ‘”Spinnin’ Records“‘ in the middle of 2015 because of a dispute over who should own his music. He established ‘”STMPD RCRDS“‘ at the beginning of 2016, and with the label, he published his most recent song, ‘”Now That I’ve Found You.”
His promotional track ‘Opps,’ published on June 13, 2016, was chosen as the ‘”Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016“‘ anthem. His contract with ‘”Sony Music“‘ was signed on July 26, 2016. At the 2017 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in California, Garrix and singer Troye Sivan performed their collaborative single ‘”There For You.”
He is scheduled to perform alongside Justin Bieber at the ‘”Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park“‘ concert in July 2017. He has also appeared as a musical guest on ‘”The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon“‘ twice, once in 2016 and once in 2017.
