What is Nikki Delventhal’s net worth? Is Nikki Delventhal dating anyone now?
Introduction
Nikki Delventhal is a New Yorker who gave up her job and traded everything in to live in her 2006 Toyota Prius with her trusty dog companion, Camper.
Delventhal’s dreams of exploring the great outdoors, adventuring across the US, and traveling solo through more than 50 countries around the globe came true in 2015.
Fed up with the rat race, the brunette beauty—who has at times worked as a model, an NFL cheerleader, and a hairstylist to the stars—threw it all in to fulfill her heart’s desire.
And she’s been on the road ever since (but her Toyota Prius has been upgraded to a proper campervan in 2022).
Now a YouTube and Instagram influencer, full-time outdoor adventurer, hiker, and philanthropist, Nikki Delventhal is working to inspire kids to get out and see the world.
Most of her ad revenue goes towards her charity—Camper Cares—to help support animals in need of forever homes and temporary support.
Nikki lives her life like an open book these days—sharing her passion and working to empower others to live their best lives.
She also shares tips and tricks for how to actually live that #vanlife—although, in her case, it was #compactcarlife.
From where to find a decent shower on the road, to the best hikes on either side of the Mississippi, Nikki knows exactly what to do—and not to do—when you’re living out of your car.
Here’s what we’ve learned about the inspiring intrepid explorer—and her trusty sidekick.
The Origin Story
Nikki Delventhal was born on January 4, 1989, in Fairfield, Connecticut.
She is the daughter of Cynthia and Dan Delventhal—the founder and CEO of Mow Green, a sustainable lawn care services company that is proudly carbon-neutral.
Nikki is the eldest of Cynthia and Dan’s three daughters, and her sisters’ names are Kayla and Shoshanna.
Nikki’s family is very close knit, and the five of them spend lots of time together when they get the chance.
Shoshanna—who writes for Investopedia—and Kayla—a graduate research assistant at Oregon State University—often catch up with their sister when she is out on the open road.
Chasing the Dream: Part I
Delventhal had always dreamed of becoming a cheerleader.
It seemed glamorous and exciting, and took advantage of the vivacious beauty’s high level of energy and fitness.
Nikki faced her first setback when she didn’t make it through the audition process.
Fast running out of money and needing to come up with a plan B, she signed up for hairdressing classes.
While she went through the program to become a qualified hair stylist, Nikki quietly went about fine-tuning her cheerleading routines and improving her fitness.
The following year, while studying full-time, and working part-time as a fitness instructor at a local gym, Nikki attended auditions again.
This time she got in.
The driven and dedicated young up-and-comer was officially a New York Jets cheerleader.
Life as a cheerleader was hard work, Delventhal admitted on social media years later.
“Every single girl on the squad is incredible. We don’t get paid for this, we all have our own hustle—our own goals—our own dreams!”
Through her connections at the New York Jets, new avenues opened up to the bubbly brunette—including the opportunity to sign with Wilhelmina Models.
Wilhelmina Models—the agency which represents artists like Nicky Minaj, Nick Jonas, and MGK—was a great choice for the former Miss Connecticut runner-up and cheerleader, but eventually, the modeling environment became unhealthy for Nikki.
Through her social media channels, she has spoken about developing an eating disorder that would eventually derail her career.
At the time when she was battling an eating disorder, Nikki appeared on The Bachelor.
Chasing the Dream: Part II
It was time for Delventhal to chase a new dream—and she knew just what it was going to be.
She packed up her car—a 2006 Toyota Prius—and went to work as a seasonal tour guide.
Working predominantly with teens, she traveled to more than 20 countries as a hiking expedition leader and chaperone.
Well and truly bitten by the travel bug, she returned to the US—but not to her apartment. Instead, she hit the road in her trusty hybrid vehicle and explored the US.
One of the first questions Nikki is likely to get is: how do you shower?
As a self-confessed “girly girl,” Nikki says she’s showered every day since she started living in her car—she simply carries her own reservoir, heats it sustainably, and uses her pop-up shower for privacy.

The dog jumped into her car and sat on her lap.
Nikki said that at the time she felt like they were drawn to each other.
Delventhal and her mom took the pup to a local animal rescue in the hopes the team there would be able to locate the owner.
But after leaving the pup behind, Nikki couldn’t shake the sadness she felt at leaving him—she returned to the shelter four days later.
She adopted the puppy—a lucky little fella called Camper—and he has become her full-time travel companion.
